(J587 Display) Fault Description
Repair Instructions
NOTE: The following repair instructions pertain to
active faults only. For information and instructions
about inactive faults, please contact OnTrac at
866-668-7221 and request a transmission
specialist.
2 2 Short circuit to ground at the output
stage to the splitter direct solenoid (Y2)
When submitting a warranty claim under standard
warranty conditions, the complete TCU should be
replaced and the entire unit submitted with warranty
claim.
Out-of-warranty only and/or no warranty claim
submitted, replace lower part of TCU.
Contact OnTrac at 866-668-7221 and request a
ZF-FreedomLine transmission specialist.
3 3 Short circuit to ground at the output
stage to the splitter indirect solenoid (Y3)
When submitting a warranty claim under standard
warranty conditions, the complete TCU should be
replaced and the entire unit submitted with warranty
claim.
Out-of-warranty only and/or no warranty claim
submitted, replace lower part of TCU.
Contact OnTrac at 866-668-7221 and request a
ZF-FreedomLine transmission specialist.
4 4 Short circuit to ground at the output
stage to the rail select #1 solenoid (Y4)
When submitting a warranty claim under standard
warranty conditions, the complete TCU should be
replaced and the entire unit submitted with warranty
claim.
Out-of-warranty only and/or no warranty claim
submitted, replace lower part of TCU.
Contact OnTrac at 866-668-7221 and request a
ZF-FreedomLine transmission specialist.
5 5 Short circuit to ground at the output
stage to the rail select #2 solenoid (Y5)
When submitting a warranty claim under standard
warranty conditions, the complete TCU should be
replaced and the entire unit submitted with warranty
claim.
Out-of-warranty only and/or no warranty claim
submitted, replace lower part of TCU.
Contact OnTrac at 866-668-7221 and request a
ZF-FreedomLine transmission specialist.
6 6 Short circuit to ground at the output
stage to the gear engage #1 solenoid
(Y6)
When submitting a warranty claim under standard
warranty conditions, the complete TCU should be
replaced and the entire unit submitted with warranty
claim.
Out-of-warranty only and/or no warranty claim
submitted, replace lower part of TCU.
Contact OnTrac at 866-668-7221 and request a
ZF-FreedomLine transmission specialist.
7 7 Short circuit to ground at the output
stage to the gear engage #2 solenoid
(Y7)
When submitting a warranty claim under standard
warranty conditions, the complete TCU should be
replaced and the entire unit submitted with warranty
claim.
