NOTE: The temperature controller6 allows
you to freely select a lower temperature after
initially heating up the pot. This is advisable,
for example, in order to keep the tempera-
ture of the contents at just below boiling
point.
4. Push the dried pieces of food onto the
fondue forks11 and place in the oil,
stock or cheese.
5. Oil and stock: take the fondue forks11
out when the food has cooked as far as
you require.
Cheese: drag the fondue forks11
through the melted cheese, turning them
as you do so to coat the food in cheese.
6. At the end of the fondue, switch the tem-
perature controller6 to the green indi-
cator LED7, unplug the appliance and
wait until all parts have cooled down
before starting cleaning.
7. Cleaning
DANGER of electrocution!
Remove the plug from the socket before
cleaning the electric fondue.
Do not immerse the heating unit4, the
power cable3 or the power plug in wa-
ter or any other liquid.
DANGER of injury from
burns!
Leave all parts to cool down fully be-
fore emptying the pot and cleaning.
DANGER of injury from cuts!
The fondue forks11 are very sharp.
WARNING about material damage!
Do not use any astringent or abrasive
cleaning agents.
Do not pour liquid fat down the sink:
when it cools, it may block the drains.
Heating unit
Clean the heating unit4 with a soft,
damp cloth using a mild soap solution.
Accessories
Clean the stainless steel pot2, splash
guard1 and fondue forks11 with a
mild detergent.
Emptying the stainless steel pot
Fat that becomes hard when it cools down
can generally be removed as a lump by turn-
ing the pot over. Liquid fat can best be
poured back into a container, e.g. the origi-
nal container, using a funnel. Dispose of old
fat via your local disposal facility or discard
with household waste.
NOTE: Food or fat that has got burnt on is
often easier to remove if you fill the pot with
water, add a sachet of baking soda and
leave to stand overnight.
8. Storage
DANGER for children!
The electric fondue should be kept
out of the reach of children.
WARNING about material damage!
Do not wind the power cable3 around the
appliance but into the base5 of the heating
unit4.
Clean all parts and make sure they are
properly dry before putting away the
electric fondue.
