Initial use
WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
Always and only use freshly drawn mains water in the kettle! Do not con-
sume an
y water that is not certifi ed as potable. If you do, you are taking a
risk with your health!

all packaging materials have been removed from the appliance.
1)
Open the lid by pressing on the release button 1.
2) Fill the appliance with water up to the MAX marking and let it come to a
full boil once – as described in the next section.
3) After it has boiled, pour this water away.
4) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.
5) Fill the appliance with water once again, up to the MAX marking, and
then bring it to boil. When done, pour this water away also.
6) Rinse the kettle out with clear water.
The appliance is now ready for use.

potentially fatal risk!
WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
Always use freshly drawn water. Do not consume any water that has already
stood in the k
ettle for longer than one hour. Do not reboil water that has cooled
down. Always pour old water away. Microbes could have formed in it!
NOTE
Always ensure that the ON/OFF switch 3 is turned to “0” when the mains
plug is unplugged and the de
vice is standing on the base 4.
If not, the device could heat up unintendedly as soon as the mains plug is
plugged in again.
