7.3 Changing the PIN (system PIN)
Some functions are only available if you know the PIN for the base unit.
The PIN has four digits. The default setting for the PIN is ‘0000’. The procedure for changing

7.4 Setting the dialling mode
There are two different dialling modes that may be used in telephones.
Multifrequency dialling (DTMF) or tone dialling (current, modern dialling method)
Pulse dialling (for older equipment).
Modern equipment is equipped with both functions, these can be changed depending on the
ap
plication. Tone dialling is needed for programming or operating functions, for instance, if
you are using the telephone on a private exchange. Where pulse dialling is used,
malfunctions can occur even in normal operation on private exchanges as the system
interprets the pulse dialling signals incorrectly.

8 Additional handsets and base units
Up to 5 handsets can be registered to one base unit. Each handset can, for its part, be
registered to up to four base units and the user can choose which base unit he wishes to use.
In the default setting as supplied, each handset is registered as Handset 1 to Base unit 1.
