8.1 Registering an additional handset
Info
This is only required if you have deregistered a handset or have
bought a new handset.
Important
It is not possible to make or receive calls while the base unit is in
registration mode.
1. The base unit has to be restarted. Unplug the base unit power supply unit and plug it
back in again. The Charge/In use indicator

starts flashing rapidly.
Registration mode on the base unit is now activated for approximately 3 minutes. You
must work through the following steps to register a handset:

start Base” appears in the display.
The handset will now search for the base unit and register when it has found it. The
display shows standby mode after a successful registration and the handset name and
handset number appear.

You can register each handset to up to 4 different DECT base units.
The base units are numbered 1 to 4 within a handset. When you
register a new handset you will be able to assign it to a base unit.
8.2 Deregistering a handset
It is possible to deregister a handset from a base unit. For example, you should do this if a
handset is damaged and has to be replaced by a new one.
Important
You can only deregister another handset, i.e. you cannot deregister
the handset you are using for deregistration.

8.3 Selecting a base unit
If your handset is registered to several base units (maximum of 4), you must select one of
these base units because the handset only communicates with one base unit at a time.
