4. Cook for about 6h on the setting
“AUTO”.
5. Finally season with salt, pepper and
curry.
9.2 Pork goulash
Ingredients:
• 500g diced pork
• 2tbsp clarified butter
• 1/2tsp mustard
• 1tbsp tomato purée
• 1onion, peeled and diced
• 1-2garlic cloves, crushed
•1grated carrot
• 200ml beer
• 600ml vegetable stock
• Salt, pepper, paprika
• cornflour or other thickener
Preparation:
1. Sear the meat well in a pan with the
clarified butter.
2. Add the salt, pepper, paprika, onions,
carrot, garlic, mustard and tomato
purée.
3. Let the mixture fry for a short time.
4. Then add the beer.
5. Put everything into the cooking pot.
6. Add the vegetable stock.
7. Cook for about 5-6h on the setting
“AUTO”.
8. Thicken the sauce with cornflour or other
starch.
9. Serve with rice or with boiled or mashed
potatoes
9.3 Lemon chicken
Ingredients:
•1whole chicken
• 1apple, peeled and sliced
• 1celery stalk, cut into strips
•1onion, diced
• Zest and juice of a lemon
• 1/2tsp dried or fresh rosemary,
chopped
• 225ml hot water
• Salt and pepper
Preparation:
1. Rub salt and pepper all over the outside
of the bird.
2. Put the apple and celery into the body
cavity.
3. Place the chicken in the cooking pot with
the breast uppermost.
4. Sprinkle it with the onion, rosemary, zest
5. and lemon juice.
6. Pour in the hot water.
7. Cook it for about 1h on “HIGH”
8. and then switch to “LOW”.
9. Cook for about 6 to 8h until the meat is
really tender.
10.About once an hour, briefly lift the lid
and baste the chicken with the sauce.
Tips:
• You can also use garlic in this dish.
Braise it lightly together with the onion.
• You can also use chicken stock instead
of water to get a more flavoursome
sauce.
• Shortly before serving, you can place
the chicken on a baking tray and grill it
for 5 to 15 minutes. This will make the
skin brown and crisp.
