5. Before using for the first time
1. Unpack the appliance carefully from the
packaging and remove the packing
material.
2. Place the appliance on a level, dry
surface.
3. Insert the mains plug into a suitable
mains socket (see “3. Technical data”
on page 26).
6. Operation
Caution!
The cover 5 is for service use only. In
operation, it must always be tightened in
order to prevent possible damages.
6.1 Switching on/off
Switching on:
Turn the On/Off switch 3 to "ON".
Switching off:
Turn the On/Off switch 3 to "OFF".
6.2 Setting the blower setting
The blower settings are used to select how
fast the appliance circulates air in the room.
The appliance has four blower settings.
Set the desired blower setting by turning the
blower settings switch 1 to the desired
setting.
Note: The individual blower settings each
exist twice. Turn the blower settings switch 1
clockwise if you wish to start with a low
blower setting and turn it anti-clockwise if
you wish to start with a high blower setting.
6.3 Setting the running time
The appliance has a timer which you can
use to set the desired running time to
between 0 and 120 minutes.
1. Switch on the timer by turning rotary
switch 3 to any time between 0 and 120
minutes. The power supply is switched on
at the same time.
2. To switch off the timer, set rotary
switch 3 to "OFF".
Note If you want the appliance to operate
continuously, set rotary switch 3 to "ON".
6.4 Setting the angle of tilt
Caution! Never pivot the vent grille 2 by
hand. This could damage the appliance.
The tilt angle can be set by pivoting the vent
grille 2:
1. Activate the pivoting vent grille 2 by
setting the switch 4 to "MOVE".
The vent grille 2 will pivot and distribute
the air evenly within the room.
2. If you desire a specific tilt angle, wait for
the vent grille 2 to move into the
corresponding position and then set the
switch 4 to "STOP".
Note: If you have selected position "0" for
the blower settings switch 1, the vent grille 2
will also stop pivoting.
6.5 Transport
1. Check that the appliance is switched off
before transportation.
