Safety instructions
Before using the oil-filled radiator for the first time, please read the following instructions carefully
and take note of the safety warnings, even if you are familiar with the use of electronic devices.
Store these instructions in a safe place for future reference. If you sell or pass on the oil-filled
radiator to someone else, be sure to always include these operating instructions as they are an
integral part of the device.
WARNING! This symbol indicates important information for safe operation
of the oil-filled radiator and the safety of the user. Disregarding this information
can lead to material damage and/or health hazards and even death.
WARNING! This symbol indicates that the oil-filled radiator must not be
covered to avoid overheating.
This symbol indicates other important information on the topic.
The oil-filled radiator is not intended to be operated with an external time switch or a
separate remote control system. Furthermore, the device should not be operated directly
below a mains socket. Never leave the oil-filled radiator unattended when it is switched on
and the thermostat [2] is turned up. It poses a fire hazard!
The oil-filled radiator should not be covered and there should be no objects between the
heating fins to avoid overheating. It poses a fire hazard!
Always place the oil-filled radiator on a flat, heat-resistant surface and not in the vicinity of
heat sources and flammable materials, liquids or gases. Leave at least 1 m clearance on all
sides because there is a risk of fire otherwise!
Plug the oil-filled radiator into a mains socket that is always easily accessible. Only use the
oil-filled radiator with the voltage specified on the rating plate of the device because there is
a risk of an electric shock otherwise!
Always handle the mains cable by the connector and do not pull on the cable itself. Never
place the oil-filled radiator, furniture or other heavy objects on the mains cable and take care
that it is not kinked, especially near the plug. Never tie a knot in the mains cable and do not
tie cables together. Ensure that the mains cable is placed so that no one can trip over it and
it does not cause an obstruction. Make sure that the mains cable does not touch any hot
surfaces of the oil-filled radiator. A damaged mains cable can cause a fire or an electric
shock. Inspect the mains cable from time to time. If the mains cable is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or its customer service representative or a similarly qualified
person to prevent any safety hazards. Do not use adapter plugs or extension cables and do
not make any alterations to the mains cable!
