Safety instructions
In this chapter you will receive important safety information regarding the handling
of the appliance.
This appliance complies with the statutory safety regulations.
Incorrect usage can lead to personal injury and property damage.
For safe handling of the appliance observe the following safety information:
DANGER - RISK OF ELECTRICAL SHOCK!
Connect this appliance only to correctly installed mains power sockets
supplying a mains v
oltage of 220 - 240 V
~
/50 Hz.
To avoid risks, arrange for defective plugs and/or power cables to be

eplaced at once by qualifi ed technicians or our Customer Service
Department.
In the event of operating malfunctions and before cleaning the appliance,
r
emove the plug from the mains power socket.
Always remove the power cable from the socket by pulling on the plug,
not on the po
wer cable itself.
Do not kink or crimp the power cable and place it in such a way as to
pr
event anyone from stepping on or tripping over it.
NEVER immerse the motor unit of the appliance in liquids and do NOT
allo
w any liquids to enter the housing of the motor unit.
Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it outdoors.
Should liquids enter the housing, unplug the appliance fr
om the mains
power socket immediately and arrange for it to be repaired by a qualifi ed
technician.
NEVER take hold of the motor unit, the power cable or the plug with wet
hands.
If the power cable or the motor unit are damaged, you must have the
appliance r
epaired by qualifi ed technicians before using it again.
Do not open the housing of the appliance motor unit. Should you do
so, the safet
y concept of the appliance may be compromised and the
warranty becomes void.
Disconnect the appliance from the mains power source immediately after
use. The appliance is completely fr
ee of electrical power ONLY when
unplugged.
