Cleaning and care
RISK - ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Before cleaning the appliance, disconnect the plug from the mains power
socket! Otherwise there is the risk of receiving an electric shock!
Never open any housing parts. There are no user-serviceable elements
inside. When the housing is open, there is the risk of receiving a potentially
fatal electrical shock.
NEVER immerse the appliance in water or other liquids! You could
receive a fatal electric shock if residual liquids come into contact with
live components during operation.
WARNING - RISK OF INJURY!
Allow the appliance to cool suffi ciently before cleaning it. Risk of burns!
CAUTION - PROPERTY DAMAGE!
Do not use abrasive or caustic cleaning agents. These can attack the
surface and damage the appliance beyond repair.
Clean all exterior surfaces with a lightly moistened dishcloth. Always dry
the appliance properly before using it again. For stubborn soiling use a mild
detergent on the cloth. Ensure that there is no detergent residue on or in the
appliance before using it again.
In the event of scale deposits
Scale deposits on the bottom of the appliance lead to increased energy
consumption and reduce the service life of the appliance.
Descale the appliance as soon as scale deposits become apparent.
Use a descaler that is designed for household appliances (e.g. coff ee
machines). Proceed as described in the descaling agent usage instructions.
After descaling, rinse the appliance out with plenty of fresh water.
Storage
Let the appliance cool down completely before putting it into storage.
Wind the power cable around the cable storage beneath the base 6.
Store the appliance in a dry location.
