Getting Started
The Dynamo Stand Flashlight features a built-in
rechargeable battery. You can recharge it by
turning the dynamo crank in order to have the
flashlight immediately ready for use at any time.
Optionally you can recharge the built-in battery
with the supplied charger or the supplied car
adapter.
In order for the built-in rechargeable battery to
develop its full capacity, first execute an
extended charging cycle three times. To do this,
charge the battery for 16 hours and then fully
discharge it by using the flashlight. Repeat this
extended charging cycle at least two more times.
Charging via the Dynamo Crank
Fold-out the dynamo crank [7].
Turn the dynamo crank in any direction. In
order to obtain optimum charging, turn the
crank at a constant speed. During charging the
charge indicator [8] will light red.
Recharging the battery with the dynamo
crank can take a long time. You can stop
the charging process at any time.
The flashlight endurance varies depending
on the crank rotation time and the number
of LEDs switched on:
1 min. crank rotation =
max. 30 min. of light (1 LED)
max. 25 min. of light (3 LEDs)
max. 20 min. of light (5 LEDs)
Charging via the Charger
Plug the small plug of the charger [2] into the
receptacle [10] of the dynamo flashlight.
Plug the charger [2] into a wall outlet. During
charging the charge indicator [8] will light red.
A full charging cycle for a completely
discharged battery takes at least 5 hours. The
charging process is completed when the
indicator [9] lights green. The Dynamo Stand
Flashlight is again ready for use. Then unplug
the charger [2] from the wall outlet.
Charging via the Car Adapter
Make sure that your vehicle has a 12V
battery. Never connect the car adapter to a
24V battery.
Plug the small plug of the car adapter [3] into
the receptacle [10] of the dynamo flashlight.
Then connect the car adapter [3] to a suitable
cigarette lighter in your car. During charging the
charge indicator [8] will light red.
A full charging cycle for a completely
discharged battery takes at least 5 hours. The
charging process is completed when the
indicator [9] lights green. The Dynamo Stand
Flashlight is again ready for use. Then unplug
the car adapter [3] from the cigarette lighter.
Replacing the Fuse from the Car Adapter
The car adapter [3] has a small fuse. If the
charging indicator [8] suddenly stops lighting
when recharging the battery with the car adapter,
the fuse may be defective. Proceed as follows to
replace the fuse:
Rotate the front cover counter-clockwise and
remove it from the car adapter.
Remove the fuse. If required, replace the fuse
by a new one of the same type. Use a fast fuse
for 250 V / 2 A.
Normally, a defective fuse can be identified
by a broken wire inside the glass body.
Powering the Dynamo Stand Flashlight
On/Off
The Dynamo Stand Flashlight supports different
operating modes. This allows you to select
different levels of brightness. Press the On/Off
pushbutton [5] multiple times to toggle between
the following:
1 LED on
3 LEDs on
All LEDs on
Flashlight off
LED off
LED on
Press the On/Off pushbutton [5] once again to
toggle start the above cycle from the beginning.
The more LEDs you switch on, the faster the
built-in battery of your Dynamo Stand
Flashlight will discharge.
Cleaning
To clean the flashlight use a dry cloth. Never use
any solvents or cleaners that may damage the
plastic housing. Make sure that no liquid gets into
the housing. When very dirty, use a slightly
dampened cloth.
